Getting Started

After installing the Intufind app, follow these steps to get your AI-powered search and chat up and running.

Step 1: Start Your Subscription

Intufind requires an active subscription to function. When you first open the app, you'll see the subscription page.

All plans include a 14-day free trial to test the full functionality.

Starting Your Subscription

  1. Review the available plans
  2. Click Start Free Trial on your preferred plan
  3. Confirm the subscription in Shopify's billing popup
  4. Wait for the setup to complete (usually a few seconds)

Once activated, your account is automatically provisioned in the cloud.

Step 2: Sync Your Content

After your subscription is active, head to the Knowledge page to sync your content.

Quick Start: Sync All Products

  1. Go to the Products tab
  2. Enable Auto-sync to automatically sync future changes
  3. Click Sync All to sync your entire product catalog

Syncing products

The sync process:

  • Sends your product data to Intufind's cloud
  • Builds the AI knowledge base
  • Enables search and chat functionality

Sync Time
Initial sync typically takes 1-2 minutes for stores under 500 products. Larger catalogs may take longer. You can continue using the app while syncing.

Step 3: Enable the Chat Widget

Make sure the chat widget is enabled in your theme:

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes in Shopify admin
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. Click App embeds (bottom left panel)
  4. Toggle on Intufind Chat Widget
  5. Click Save

Step 4: Test Your Setup

Visit your store's frontend and verify:

  1. Chat widget appears — You should see the chat bubble in the corner
  2. Search works — Click the widget and try searching for a product
  3. AI responds — Ask a question about your products

Understanding the Dashboard

The main dashboard provides an overview of your setup and quick links to common tasks.

Status Overview

Shows your current subscription status and synced item count:

  • Subscription: Active/Inactive with plan name
  • Items Synced: Total content in your knowledge base
  • Trial Status: Days remaining if on trial

How It Works

  2. AI Processing — Our AI processes and indexes your content
  3. Customize — Configure styling and behavior in the Dashboard
