Subscription & Billing

Intufind subscriptions are managed through Shopify's built-in billing system. This page explains your plan options, limits, and how to manage your subscription.

Navigate to Apps → Intufind → Subscription in your Shopify admin.

All new subscriptions include a 14-day free trial:

  • Full access to all plan features
  • No charge until trial ends
  • Cancel anytime during trial with no obligation

  • You'll see a countdown of remaining trial days
  • Shopify will notify you before charging
  • Your subscription continues automatically unless cancelled

Understanding Limits

Search Limits

Searches count each time a customer:

  • Uses the search widget
  • Gets search results from the AI

Searches reset at the start of each billing cycle.

Message Limits

Messages count each chat interaction:

  • Customer sends a message: 1 message
  • AI responds: 1 message
  • A typical conversation uses 4-10 messages

Messages also reset monthly.

Product Limits

Products is the maximum number of products you can sync:

  • Counts unique products (not variants)
  • Doesn't reset monthly — it's a fixed limit
  • Upgrade your plan to sync more products

What Happens at Limit?
When you reach a limit, the feature continues to work but with reduced functionality. Search results may be cached, and chat may show a "busy" message. Upgrade or wait for the next billing cycle to restore full functionality.

Changing Plans

Upgrading

  1. Go to Subscription in the Intufind app
  2. Click on a higher-tier plan
  3. Confirm the change in Shopify's billing popup
  4. New limits apply immediately

Upgrading plan

Upgrades are prorated — you only pay the difference for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Downgrading

  1. Go to Subscription in the Intufind app
  2. Click on a lower-tier plan
  3. Confirm the change

Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. You'll keep your current limits until then.

Product Limit Warning
If you downgrade to a plan with fewer products than you've synced, some products will stop being searchable. Consider disabling sync on less important products before downgrading.

Managing Billing

Payment Methods

Billing is handled entirely through Shopify:

  • Charges appear on your Shopify invoice
  • Uses your existing Shopify payment method
  • No separate payment setup required

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to Settings → Billing in Shopify admin
  2. Find Intufind charges in your bill history

Cancelling

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Go to Subscription in the Intufind app
  2. Click Manage Plan
  3. Click Cancel subscription
  4. Confirm the cancellation

Or uninstall the app entirely (see Installation).

What Happens When Cancelled

  • Widget stops working immediately
  • Synced content is retained for 30 days (in case you resubscribe)
  • After 30 days, all cloud data is deleted
  • No further charges occur

Monitoring Usage

Track your usage in the Intufind Dashboard:

  1. Click Open Dashboard from any page in the app
  2. View Analytics for detailed usage stats
  3. See searches and messages by day/week/month

FAQ

When does my billing cycle reset?

Your billing cycle starts on the day you subscribed. Usage limits reset on this date each month.

Can I pause my subscription?

There's no pause option currently. You can cancel and resubscribe later, but note that cloud data is deleted 30 days after cancellation.

Do unused searches/messages roll over?

No, unused allowances don't roll over to the next month.

Is there an annual billing option?

Currently, Intufind is billed monthly through Shopify. Contact us for annual billing inquiries.
