Behavior Settings
Control how the Intufind chat widget appears and behaves on your Shopify store.
Accessing Behavior Settings
Navigate to Settings → Behavior in the Intufind app.

General Behavior
Enable Chat Widget
- Option: Show the floating chat widget on your site
- Default: Enabled
Toggle the chat widget on or off across your entire store.
Widget Position
- Options:
Bottom Right,Bottom Left,Top Right,Top Left - Default:
Bottom Right
Choose where the floating chat trigger button appears on your storefront.
Product/Post Card Layout
- Options:
Carousel (Swipeable),Grid (Static) - Default:
Carousel
Controls how product and content cards are displayed within chat responses.
Message Display
Configure what appears on chat messages.

Show Message Actions
- Description: Display thumbs up/down feedback and copy buttons on AI responses
- Default: Disabled
Show User Copy Button
- Description: Allow users to copy their own messages
- Default: Disabled
Show Message Timestamps
- Description: Display time sent below each message
- Default: Disabled
Card Content Display
Control what information appears on product and content cards.
Show Post Author
- Description: Display author name in content cards
- Default: Enabled
Show Post Date
- Description: Display publication date in content cards
- Default: Enabled
Show Post Category
- Description: Display category/tags in content cards
- Default: Enabled
Site Context & Instructions
Provide context to help the AI understand your business better.

Site Description
- Description: A 1-2 sentence description of your store (max 500 characters)
- Purpose: Helps the AI understand your business and provide more relevant responses
- Examples:
- "An online outdoor gear retailer specializing in camping and hiking equipment"
- "A specialty coffee roastery with brewing guides and educational content"
- Default: Empty (AI auto-detects)
Custom Instructions
- Description: Important facts, corrections, or business-specific knowledge (max 5,000 characters)
- Purpose: Add supplemental information the AI should know
Use Cases:
- Correct mistakes: "Our return policy is 60 days, not 30 days"
- Add facts: "Product X is now gluten-free (updated formulation)"
- Business policies: "We ship to US, Canada, and Mexico only"
- Hours & contact: "Customer service: M-F 9am-6pm EST"
Formatting Tips:
- Use

**bold**for emphasis
Important: The AI is already fully configured. Only add information unique to your business.
Saving Changes
Click Save Behavior Settings after making any changes.
