AI Order Inquiries
Default: On (when WooCommerce is active)
When enabled, the AI can look up order information for logged-in customers.
What the AI Can Do
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| Order status | "Where is my order?" |
| Order details | "What did I order?" |
| Tracking info | "Do you have tracking for order #123?" |
| Order history | "Show me my recent orders" |
| Item lookup | "What was in my last order?" |
How It Works
- Customer asks about their order
- AI identifies the customer (must be logged in)
- AI retrieves order information from WooCommerce
- AI responds with relevant details
Security
- Only works for logged-in customers
- Customers can only see their own orders
- No payment details are exposed
- Order lookup is server-side (credentials never exposed to frontend)
Impact on Live Agent Escalation
When AI Order Inquiries is enabled, the AI can answer most order-related questions automatically. This affects what should be escalated to live agents.
With AI Order Support Enabled
The AI handles informational queries, so escalation should focus on actions:
- Refunds and cancellations
- Address changes
- Order modifications
- Disputes and complaints
- Sensitive situations
Without AI Order Support
The AI cannot access order data, so escalation includes information requests:
- Order status inquiries
- Tracking requests
- Billing questions
- Any order-specific questions
This is automatically reflected in the default escalation criteria on the Live Agent tab.
Product Cards in Chat
When the AI references products, it displays rich product cards with:
- Product image
- Product title
- Price (including sale price)
- Star rating (if available)
- "View Product" link
Card appearance is controlled by Styling settings.
